Frequently Asked Questions:

What are eyelash extensions?

They are revolutionary product will lengthen and thicken the natural lashes. They are single strands of synthetic eyelashes that are curved to replicate a natural eyelash. They are applied one by one to each individual lash for a natural and luscious look.

What do they look like and how do they feel?

When properly applied, they look and feel completely natural!

How long do they last?

They are not too dissimilar from getting your nails done. Once the initial set is applied, they must be filled every 2-4 weeks. The filling process is used to replace the lashes that are shed during the natural regeneration process. It takes 60-90 days to regenerate an entire set of new eyelashes. When properly applied to each lash, and with proper after care, eyelash extensions should last the entire growth cycle of that particular natural lash.

How many individual lashes constitute a full set?

Each client will be different depending on the natural number of lashes present and the desired finished look. A full set will usually consist of 50-60 lashes.

Can I apply mascara or use an eyelash curler?

It is recommended that the less the client does to the lashes the better the results will be. However, if one insists on using mascara, do not use an oil based or waterproof mascara. There are commercially available mascaras specifically designed to be used with this service that work in conjunction with extensions. These work the best. You cannot use a mechanical curler with the eyelash extensions as they will damage the bonds at the base of the lash. If an eyelash curler is needed, it is recommended that a heated one is used, or there are techniques that will be covered during the application process.

Can I swim, shower, exercise, or visit a spa while wearing eyelash extensions?

Yes. It is important that the lashes be pampered for the first 48 hours after application to allow for the complete setting of the adhesives, but after that time period, it is ok.
